Where those documents conflict with these Terms & Conditions, the engagement letter takes precedence.
Engagement of Services
No client relationship is created by browsing this website, submitting a contact form, or booking a consultation. A relationship begins only once both parties have signed a written engagement agreement and we have confirmed acceptance of the work.
Client Responsibilities
Accurate work depends on accurate information. You agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate, and timely records, documents, and information
- Respond to our requests for clarification or missing documents promptly
- Review all returns, filings, and financial statements before they are submitted or finalized
- Notify us promptly of any change in your circumstances that may affect your filings
- Maintain your own copies of source documents and records
You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. EverBooks is not liable for errors, penalties, interest, or losses arising from information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or supplied late.
Fees and Payment
Fees are set out in your engagement letter or quotation. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 15 days of the invoice date. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts and to suspend work on any file with an outstanding balance. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Fees are for services rendered and are not contingent on any particular outcome, refund amount, or assessment.
Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement by providing written notice. You remain responsible for all fees for work completed up to the date of termination. On termination, we will return your original documents and, where reasonably practicable, provide copies of relevant working records, subject to payment of outstanding fees and our professional record-retention obligations.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
We perform our services with professional care and in accordance with applicable standards. However, we do not guarantee any particular result, including the outcome of a CRA assessment, review, or audit, or the amount of any refund or tax payable. Tax authorities may take positions that differ from ours.
